Villa Oblica is designed as the first, western part of the complex of two villas at the location of Požare, Makarska. Although different in floor area, the Villas are formally and functionally aligned and together they form a spatial and visual entity. Using the maximum of very high-quality views on the Makarska Riviera and the islands, as well as Biokovo cliff in the background, the initially rectangular floor plan formations were broken into five-octave shaped floor plan, with representative areas oriented towards SE and SW.
Villa Oblica with its 450 m2 is designed for tourist accommodation through three floors, the roof is also partly flat and partially sloping. The spacious "open space" of the ground floor for daily activities opens completely to the island views and is functionally linked with outdoor dining and terrace by the pool. On the ground floor there are four sleeping rooms of different functional and design character, according to orientation and views, floor plan, connection with terraces and the integration of bathroom facilities into the room itself. The basement is designed as a monumental base for the upper floors, which includes an indoor swimming pool and a sauna, a billiard room and other technical facilities.
Formation of the outer plot of the parcel is divided into three levels of the entrance and parking zone, the main living area and the quiet zone in front of the basement. The shape is characterized by the maximum return of olive trees initially found on the site as part of the inspiration for the identity concept. Functional formulation envisages duplication of the purpose of internal functions in external and their harmonious articulation and mutual integration: living, bathing and showering, dining, food preparation, play, rest ...
