Research, Transformation and Reconstruction of the Island of Vir

The publication entitled Research, Transformation and Reconstruction of the Island of Vir edited by prof. Tihomir Jukić, PhD is the result of joint work of students and their professors from the Department of Urban Planning, Physical Planning and Landscape Architecture in Urban Planning course 2 - Town planning. The topic of the workshop follows the current trend in addressing the socially sensitive issues. The six-part publication presents all stages of the working process in an urban planning workshop: from identifying a problem and the physical planning in the next 10 to 15 years. Emphasis is laid on the students' study of the new rehabilitation models. an overall development process and the ways to improve the quality of life on Vir island. Their projects should aim to promote the island's specific features and the ways to exploit its full potential.
