Prof. Damir Damir Krajnik, PhD (born in 1977), architect, full professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb where he graduated in 2000 and completed his doctoral studies in 2007. Since 2000, he has been employed at the Department of Urban Planning, Spatial Planning and Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Zagreb where he participates in various undergraduate and graduate courses. He also participates in the postgraduate scientific courses of the Faculty of Architecture as a mentor and a member of the committees for the evaluation of doctoral dissertations, and in the postgraduate specialist course „Architecture and Urbanism; Spatial planning - Cycle: Strategic planning and sustainable development“. Since 2000, he has been actively participating as a researcher in the implementation of a number of international and domestic scientific research projects, where he has published sixty-six (66) papers as an author/co-author in scientific journals, proceedings of international scientific conferences, books, professional domestic and foreign magazines etc. He is a reviewer of scientific articles in international scientific journals, and from October 2013 to December 2020, he was the executive editor of the scientific journal for architecture and urbanism „Prostor“. As an author and co-author he participated in seventy-five (75) professional projects: spatial and urban plans, landscape design projects, urban-architectural projects and studies. He is the head of the Department of Urban Planning, Spatial Planning and Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb (since 2019), a member of the Association of Croatian Architects and the Society of Architects Zagreb and is a certified architect and urban planner of the Croatian Chamber of Architects.
