Orebić Coastline – Student Urban Planning and Architectural Workshop 2012

This workshop has been the third one in series of student summer workshops in Orebić focusing on the issues of public space layout in Orebić. It was organized by the joint collaboration of Orebić Municipality, the University of Zagreb (Department of Urban Planning, Physical Planning and Landscape Architecture of Faculty of Architecture) and Croatica Association. It was funded by the EU programme Youth in Action. Around a hundred of participants took part in workshop sessions: students, organizers, heads, visiting lecturers and citizens who participated in public panel discussions. The publication gives an overview of four student projects dealing with the layout of four sites on the coastal stretch of Orebić Municipality including a detailed workshop programme. Its aim is to contribute to the quality of teaching in urban planning courses at the Faculty of Architecture as well as to improve the methodology of urban planning and public space layout.
