The publication presents a script for the course Inclusive Design at the Design Studies program of the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb. The aim of the course is to recognize and understand the diversity of users as a design factor, as well as the potentials and requirements for design. Identifying marginalized and extreme user groups within the context of a project. Using design as a tool to achieve inclusion. The public and the design profession today are already familiar with and use the terms inclusion and inclusive design, but they often mistakenly interpret them as being exclusively intended for special groups of people, primarily persons with disabilities or the elderly, or individuals who need assistance to be included (inclusion) in life situations deemed essential, such as access to public institutions or the use of public transportation, and to achieve independence in daily life. However, inclusive design has a different meaning and much broader application.
