Projection with elevation ( topographic surfaces, geometrical site view of earthworks on the terrain by means of contour lines, roof surfaces). Cross sections of rotating surfaces. The shade and shadows, application in orthogonal projections, axonometry and central projection. Linear perspective (methods, parameters, parallell and angular, interieur).
To solve geometrical problems descriptive geometry uses
pictures for representing spatial objects and making 3D models virtual or physically realistic. The methodology of the course leads a student to develop skills of creative solution of 3D problems and spatial visualization as a sort of human intelligence necessary for architectural planning.
The students will be able to represent the architectural objects by method of perspective and resolve the cross sections and the shade and shadows among rectangular and oblique solids. They can apply the knowledge of the projection with elevation in the courses of Urban Planning.
